Egypt

Hooray, I have now added a picture of me on holiday in Egypt.  I am on the Island of Philai at the Isis Temple.  We were very fortunate to be able to travel to this temple for an early morning meditation session.    Our day started at 5am, leaving our hotel to travel in the cool Egyptian morning breezes firstly by mini bus and then on a small motor boat to the Island still under the cover of darkness.   Walking into the dark temple which was only lite by candles and our small torches that we carried, we entered a small room towards the back of the temple where we held the meditation.  There we were joined by a very friendly cat who made itself comfortable on someones jumper.  After the meditation we were allowed to walk freely around the Island for about half an hour taking lots of lovely and interesting photos of the temple and wall art.  Di - you must visit there one day and take your camera, you will be in love.  I now have several of these pics enlarged and framed on display at home.  The pic above is one of them.  We left the Island about 8am, as we were leaving boat loads of tourists were just arriving.  It was such a wonderful experience to have the island to ourselves.  No tourists!  The pic above was taking as we were motoring away.

Missed my tea break - too excited to start blogging!

Well hello everyone.  Welcome to my blog.  I did manage a cup of tea and a pear so don't feel bad that I have missed a morning tea break this morning.  Well it is very easy to set up a gmail account and a blog. I have just been told it is just called a blog not a blog account or that there is any other words to call or describle a blog. This will be an interesting 10 weeks of sitting in front of the computer working my way through all the 10 week lesson plans.  Fresh air anyone?  One hundred and fifty words... one hundred and fifty words...whoops was thinking out loud then.  Can I still count them as part on my one hundred and fifty words?  On a lighter note, Easter is fast approaching and I am sure everyone is looking forward to consuming lots of lovey easter chocolate and hot cross buns, no wait a minute we don't have to wait for Easter you can do that now! Who has to work on Easter Saturday because your library is open and you are rostered to work?  Interesting......            Thats all from me for now.
